Heat/Celtics Game 6 Recap

LeBron James
LeBron James stepped it up to say the least. He was absolutely outstanding in the Heat's blowout win over the Celtics, but this does not mean the series is all over. However, Lebron and the Heat in general had that no nonsense look in their eyes like they had against the Pacers after game three of their semifinal series. If they take that look into game seven, they will win. For the Celtics, they must get more out of Paul Pierce if they want to win and he knows that. Also, with Bosh back in the lineup, it will be up to Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass down low to win the battle in the paint which was a big reason why the Celtics took a 3-2 advantage in the series.
The more interesting aspect to this game was whether it cemented LeBron James's status as a clutch performer. I for one have never said LeBron isn't clutch. The fact of the matter is that others have outperformed King James in big moments in recent years. Take last years finals when Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks made James look small in that series or two years ago when the Celtics completely controlled James, bouncing the Cavaliers earlier than expected. Yes, last night's game reassured LeBron has a big time player obviously, but he still has yet to come up big when his team ultimately needs him to in the biggest of stages.
